Description

The Muco Protector is a natural supplement designed to expedite and optimize the relief of respiratory problems, including herbal, vegetable, and fruit extracts, and most importantly the Serrapeptase enzyme (the enzyme that is thought to be able to distinguish living vs dead proteins and dissolve only the dead layers). Upper and lower respiratory problems have commanded the attention of some of the best physicians in the world over the years, trying to find cures. Respiratory problems can manifest in various forms, from sinus infections to bacterial or viral infections, that can cause an excess accumulation of mucus in the upper and lower respiratory tracts. In severe cases, they can ultimately result in the patient's death due to a severe drop in oxygen reaching the bloodstream. Drug and respiratory therapies provided to patients today do not fully address these issues, so the problem continues and research is still in high demand to discover a more definitive solution to treat these infections.

There is a distinct advantage to using nature as the solution to respiratory problems. Nature has introduced this problem and in turn, nature has provided a solution. We simply need to focus our research within nature to find it. Every disease that has been delivered to mankind also has a solution in nature waiting for us to discover it.

Over fifty years ago, after Japanese researchers questioned how a silkworm manages to emerge from its cocoon, a unique and interesting natural discovery was made. The researchers observed that the silkworm managed to create an opening in the pupa, which is difficult to crack, using an enzyme secreted from its saliva known as serrapeptase. The discovery was a monumental breakthrough in the world of natural and of conventional medicine. The enzyme was observed exhibiting the ability to differentiate between living and dead protein layers, and in one action, dissolve the dead layers. This discovery has resulted in a breakthrough in the use of the enzyme in the medical world and has been found to be effective in dissolving plaque on blood vessel walls, which is known to cause vascular blockage which leads to sinus and/or bypass surgery in many patients.

Over time, researchers found that this enzyme, in addition to its family of enzymes called proteolytic enzymes, have been observed to significantly reduce the level of inflammation in certain areas of the body (including but not limited to the sinuses and airway walls) by destroying bacterial colonies residing within. These bacterial colonies are made up of protein layers created by the accumulation of mucus that builds up in various areas of the respiratory system, such as the sinuses or bronchospasm. The activity of dissolving these bacterial colonies can result in severe coughing and difficulty breathing. In extreme cases, it has been found to develop into pneumonia.

Muco Protector Ingredients

Papaya extract

Homeotreat’s Muco Protector harnesses the tremendous power of proteolytic enzymes, derived from the papaya plant, as the main active ingredient. To accelerate and streamline the relief of respiratory ailments, we have added a combination of several additional components.

Dill extract

This seemingly simple spice plant found on supermarket shelves shows efficiency in decomposing the protective layer that bacterial colonies create for themselves as barriers, allowing them to reproduce without being affected by external forces such as antibiotics.

cd

Celery Seeds

Celery seeds contain phenolic active ingredients, known for their antioxidant qualities. Antioxidants have been found to have tremendous anti-inflammatory effects. It has also been found that celery seeds, because of these antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, may aid in bronchodilation.

Poria Cocos/ Poria Mushroom Extract/ Wolfiporia extensa

One of the most popular herbs in traditional Chinese medicine, known as “Fuling” in Chinese, has been used for over 2000 years. Recent research has shown that this fungus has a number of pharmacological activities. It has been found to help strengthen the immune and respiratory systems by assisting in phlegm removal, disposal of metabolic waste, and assisting the body in balancing blood sugar levels. Research has also pointed at its abilities to soothe and improve mental functions.

Muco Protector Studies

Supportive studies

1. SERRAPEPTASE - In this study, the proteolytic enzyme serrapeptase (SER) is widely used in clinical practice in Japan. We investigated the effect of SER on sputum properties and symptoms in patients with chronic airway diseases. It was found that after 4 weeks of SER treatment, sputum weight in the morning, percentage solid component, viscosity and elasticity of sputum, sputum neutrophil count, frequency of coughing and frequency of expectoration significantly decreased. Concluding, SER may exert a beneficial effect on mucus clearance by reducing neutrophil numbers and altering the viscoelasticity of sputum in patients with chronic airway diseases.

2. CELERY - Celery (Apium graveolens L) is a plant from the apiaceae family and phenolic, and antioxidant compounds of this plant have been studied by several scientists. The aim of this study was to review systematically the antioxidant activity of celery. Celery, because of compounds such as caffeic acid, p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, apigenin, luteolin, tannin, saponin, and kaempferol, has powerful antioxidant characteristics to remove free radicals. It is clear that celery, with different compounds and diverse concentration can have varied healing effects.

4. PORIA COCOS - Pharmacological studies reveal that polysaccharide is the most abundant substance in Poria cocos and has a wide range of biological activities including anti-tumor, immunomodulation, anti-inflammation, antioxidation, anti-ageing, anti-hepatitis, anti-diabetics and anti-haemorrhagic fever effects.

In this article, biochemical, preclinical and clinical studies of Poria cocos polysaccharide from 72 independent studies during the past 46 years (1970-2016) based on PubMed, VIP (Chongqing VIP Chinese Scientific Journals Database), CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and Wanfang database searches are summarized.
